I've been ridiculously busy! For god's sake, I'm even down to reading only one book! Between working my first full-time, post-college job, and trying to find a place to live, there's almost no time for spending hours at the computer. But I think I may have found an apartment. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the link to the Baghdad video. I opposed the war from the start - for more reasons than I have time to list. But the video's point is a vital one, and divorced from politics. That is why I am going to do my damnedest to see if I can show it to my students this year. The hatred that we have bred or allowed to breed, will be our own children's terrible legacy. Terrifying.

I think I need to follow your philosophy of not having to read *every* *single* *message*, but I'm still overwhelmed... :S Still, better to be overwhelmed by something than underwhelmed, right? :P

I don't know, I got an obsessive streak. Either I dive fully into something or retreat completely from it. I need to learn how to meet things in the middle. Am I making any sense? :P

Anyway, I hope to have some free(er? r?) time starting next week, maybe I'll come back for real to the Dragon then. :) I've really missed you guys, specially the crazies!

Hello Larry, how is the next installment going for Tales of the GD? I am enjoying reading your story. Is all the back story part of LOTR ? I read it so long ago (37 years ago) that I have forgotten. I didn't read all the appendices either and I haven't read the Hobbit ( I know that is bad of me)That is probably a silly question and I should just go read JRR Tolkien again. I did manage to get through the Silmarillion but it was a pretty hard slog, I remember.

Oh, yeah, me too. I'd guess I have maybe half of my books entered, and there are whole categories hardly touched yet! I've done most of my sci fi/fantasy, mysteries, and cookbooks, as well as most of my American history (not counting books about the presidents). Have hardly touched classics . . .

Still, it's a curiously soothing task, entering books.

Do you think we're ever going to nail down a date for the Connecticut GD get-together? One of the weekends leading in the votes is only three weeks away!

I'm honored that you have added me to interesting libraries and as a friend. I think it's funny we share five books and they are all Agatha Christie! Maybe there will be more when I finally get all of my library entered (it's a slooowww process at this point).
