Om meg Aspires to be multilingual.
Future career choices include: English professor, speech therapist, novelist, librarian, language translator, cryptologic linguist for the army reserve, intelligence analyst for the army reserve - or might even have the chance to go into the missions field.
Enjoys (obviously) to read, constantly.
Has fallen in love with words - and their meanings.
-Three things I MUST do before I die: learn to play an instrument (*crosses fingers* a violin!), have my own bookshelf (full of course!), or get a Siberian Husky =).
-Three places I MUST go before I die: walk on a beach, fishing at a lake, visit an Amish area and watch their horses.

Om biblioteket mitt I'm still adding to my library; its seems much smaller than I imagined :/.

Thanks for the friend request! See you in the Hogwart Express group! :)
Jenny: If you want to be a liberal arts major, or an "educated person" for that matter, there is no escaping the "western canon." I would develop a reading budget (books per month) and devote at least one book to the literature portion of the canon. By that I mean Dickens, Hardy, Austen, Twain, Hemingway, Faulkner, Steinbeck, James, etc. Your eventual goal should be to read as many of those authors' ( and the others) books as possible. You will encounter books you cannot read. That is ok. You may not be ready for them; they can wait. Or you may never be ready for them. For example, I cannot tolerate James Joyce, although he is generally regarded as a genius. As an adjunct, or a welcome break, you can noodle around in more contemporary literature. I have some fiction recommendations: Angle Of Repose by Wallace Stegner and Stones For Ibarra by Harrriet Doerr. Nonfiction can be even more fascinating than fiction. If you want to learn how to write clean, lucid prose try the books of John McPhee - any subjects. He has the power of taking a topic you might not have any interest in and making you stay up all night to finish the book. Perhaps the best book I have ever read is A Time Of Gifts by Patrick Fermor. Check it out. Write some polished reviews of the books you read and include your library-thing site as part of your college application.
Thank you for the friend request! It's always nice to find other Harry Potter fans! I'm friends with so few in "real life!"
hey! Thanks for the add! I don't get around to checking this as much as I used to so I hope it wasn't old or something...wow your a Baptist eh :O I don't find many of those ;) So what do you like doing? What is your amazing and spectacular gift that you absolutely love doing in life? Don't say you don't have one haha, everyone does :D Have a spectacular day!!!
Ever So Blonde,

oh btw - I see we have some books in common [besides harry potter that is, haha] Like I've read The Lost Queen book 1, and haven't gotten around to reading book 2 [though I own it] and Ella Enchanted happens to be one of my all time favs :D [in which the movie interpretation was horribly butchered] the author who wrote it, Gail Carson Levine, was the first of whose books I've read when I was younger who got me into reading to begin with :D [her book Princess Test from the fairy tale series started my love for books] --- and as reply to your last message, its wicked you write, I write too :D Fantasy mostly, and one vampire novel that I started forever ago and need to start on again lol... I also did a 'mock book cover' for it for fun, its called Bloody Ivy and is over here: http://velvet-moonlight.deviantart.com/a... :) - April
thanks much for the lovely comment :) A lot of stuff inspires me, including stories, but I don't do too much fan art... only once I believe for a novel called Wicked Lovely, I did this one: http://velvet-moonlight.deviantart.com/a... .. Mostly I just doodle and draw whatevers on my mind :P And some commissions for peoples. And I looove fairy tales, so some art of mine [most, actually] is fantasy related :D Right now though, I'm just trying to up my skillz and get better at realistic drawings :)
