Om meg i've loved to read ever since i can remember. for a long time i was good about not buying novels unless i really liked them. wish i could say that for today. The past several years i've been on a buying spree of books for 1 dollar or 50 cents from libraries and half price books. Also enjoy purchasing something fun with my borders coupons. I never buy books full price unless it's a present for someone else.

I have a degree in graphic design and minor in photography. I really enjoy book arts, zines, comics, and artist books.

Om biblioteket mitt These are most of the books I own. I'm not sure if I'll add all the books from my childhood that I can't part with. I've added some already, but some are rather silly, I think that means I should really get rid of them, we'll see if that will happen! A lot of the unread ones I've bought in the last few years. I'm definitely buying faster than i can read. I have a notebook that contains a list of all the books I've read that goes back when I was in 5th-6th grade. (about 14 years) I just past 600 books on that list!

I also used to read a lot of library books (more than i should) but those are not accounted for on here. I'm trying to stop that for the time being because of the amount of my own books that are unread.

Thanks for accepting my friend invitation! I enjoyed a stroll through your library. Many reminders of books I've read; and others I'd planned to, but had forgotten about.

All best,

Hannah
Hiya,

I see that you got Read My Lips. Good for you! It looked interesting but I didn't want to compete with you for it, so I only added it to my PBS wishlist. If you want to get rid of it when your done, let me know. (If not, no big deal, it'll come up again!)

I know you like YA books - so I thought I'd show you one that looks good and is coming up on my wishlist (I already have a copy coming - but I don't remove from WL until the book is actually in my hands.)

Have to break down and actually BUY some books this week - Breaking Dawn is coming out! :)

Hahahaha! I think you're the same Alea from bookmooch! (you requested two of my books recently).
Weird, huh? lol
I didn't know you had a librarything account! I am absolutely a librarything maniac!
Well, I hope you have a good day! =)

Jenny

(By the way, I'm still a little uncertain about sending those books. I'll keep ya updated though!)
Hi mint910: Actually it was jenlaw who is from D.C., which is where Kramer's is. I got that mixed up. I can't see where you're from. (I *used* to be from D.C., in a former life.) But here is the website: http://www.kramers.com/. It is a totally wonderfully place, but nothing in terms of books compared to Powell's. But in a way, Powell's was TOO much. If you don't have a specific area in mind, there's no way to browse - it's just too overwhelming! Kramer & Afterwards sort of specializes in political affairs books. AND great drinks and desserts! :--)
Hey I saw your post about not receiving American Wife. I actually got 2 copies of this book. If you still want a copy, you can e-mail me, and I can send it out to you. Let me know!
I'm sorry, I was venting. I'm better now.
What's the book that you want? Maybe it'll go off reserve and then you can grab it.
I think they are slowly catching on. About a month ago, the library served as the makeup/dressing room for the drama department after school and a lot of those kids were into them. I've sent out emails to faculty and staff explaining what they are and to encourage their students to check them. I've also wrote about them in the library newsletter and created a display in the main display case.

I'm with you; I wish my high school had zines when I was young. I didn't get into them really until the summer before I started college. They would've inspired me to write more during high school. C'est la vie. Hopefully this collection will inspire kids.
Thank you for the invite. Just added a few more. I'm up to maybe 10.

Hiya! Only other person on this whole site that has/or has read Wrongboy. I love this book, it makes me smile whichever page I flick it open to. I think I lent it to someone without keeping track, now I miss it! That's all, just thought I would leave a quickie. Cheers, Bridie.
Thank you for your comment -- same to you! It's so nice to see someone else who has such a collection -- Kafka on one shelf, "The Wright 3" (which I loved, BTW) on the other. (That's what i love about library thing -- I think the juxtapostion is so funny when the random books pop up.) Happy reading to you as well! PS I love your picture!
