Hi edwinbcn! It was suggested to me that you might be able to figure out this mystery of my Chinese book... for the life of me I can't figure out what it is and therefore cannot post it on Bookmooch.(Picture of book is at link below) (It has no ISBN either). This is a picture of what I think is the chapter index page... I hope you can help me figure this out so it can go to a good home that will love it and be able to read it (and watch it's included disk).

Hallo Edwin,
I think you have me mixed up with someone else? In any case, I have "Falling Leaves" ready to take to the post office on Monday morning and would happily angel any books you would like, including ones smelling of cigarettes.

I hope your spring is as beautiful there as it is here in South Carolina--summer began this weekend, with hot days, but cool nights so that the house stays cool for most of the day if I remember to close the windows before noon.
I went to a big used book sale today and stumbled upon a copy of "Falling Leaves", which is on your wishlist. I've reserved it for you on BookMooch, if you don't want it, just ignore it and after a week it will be open to anyone.
Wow, Edwin, and thank you. The points, as you probably noticed, were getting a little low, so your generous gift is greatly appreciated. It's just that there are so, so many books to read...

Along the same topic, if you ever need someone to angel a book for you, I would be more than happy to do so, it's good for my points situation and I like participating in the global exchange of books. I've been on a Canadian literature kick, but that just means that I mooch books from Canada and send them back there when they're done. It doesn't feel very global, just continental.

Thank you again. It really made me very happy.
I'm willing to Angel large amounts for people, as long as I have enough points to make the initial mooches myself...
I had to laugh at your baffled comments about pet hair, although I think you may soon be in for several angry rebuttals. It's a uniquely American thing -- maybe because we are so, so insulated here. My children attend a "peanut-free" school, where no peanut products are allowed in the door and there has been at least one student in each of my children's classes here with an astonishing array of life threatening allergies. I think part of it is that the minute anyone has a stuffy nose we assume allergies are to blame and a cultural tendency to make a fuss about things like this. I knew people in Germany and England with fairly severe allergies, but they just quietly took care of things, rather than moving the responsibility onto the people around them. So I now just mentally roll my eyes and make any accommodations asked of me.

I'm glad you're enjoying Sebastian Faulks. Have you read "On Green Dolphin Street"? It remains my favorite despite the excellence of "Birdsong", "Charlotte Gray" and "The Girl at the Lion D'Or". Not sure if I'll read his James Bond.

I hope spring in China is as welcome and beautiful as it is here. I'm growing tomatoes from seed this year and believe it or not it's pretty exciting.
